(62) Days of Piedras

I don't consider myself to be a great cook. I managed to get by as a camp cook for a whole summer, but I mostly did the light stuff. I can't even make toast without burning it (seriously!). However, I pride myself on baking a delicious pastry! Cakes, cupcakes, cookies, muffins, brownies -- I can cook those, and cook them with pride! When the men's group came a few weeks ago, they brought with them some boxes full of brownie, cake, and muffin mixes. So imagine the excitement my host family had when they asked me if I actually knew how to bake them! If any of you have a great pastry recipe you'd like to share -- please send it to me! I'm excited to be able to make something for my host family!

Oh and also here's a photo for your enjoyment. The youth went on a camping trip this weekend about 30 minutes west of Piedras. There was a swimming hole, sand volleyball court, and playground area. We had a blast hanging out all day Saturday and in fellowship together. I am growing quite fond of the youth here in Piedras. I hope those of you who are able to come visit get the chance to meet some of these amazing kids!

All of us after a fun day of fellowship!
