(3) Days of Piedras

So I may already be behind a day or two so I´ll try and catch everyone up...

(3):

My morning schedule is the same - wake up at 9:30, eat breakfast, take a shower, read my Bible, watch a movie, get on the internet, play some Wii, study some Spanish, and then usually I read until my host family comes home.

Once my host family comes home, it gradually gets more and more fun. For example, Josue, Maru, and the girls like to put on a movie once they get home. Tuesday, he put in Cellular. It´s a suspense movie, so he really recommended we watch it. Probably halfway through the movie it´s time to eat lunch (mind you that it´s about 3pm). We all eat lunch together, then afterwards start the movie back up. The girls absoutely love to play the Wii, so after the movie (and their homework), we played. They also really like to listen to music from their computer, so we got to jam out to Taylor Swift, Hannah Montana, and the Jonas Brothers all night. Maru and Josue went out somewhere, and when Josue came back (Maru was at work), he had brought home a pizza for dinner (it´s now about 6:30pm). I ate a slice (because I was still full from lunch), and then Jovani and I took the newborn puppies and gave them a bath.

Around 8pm, Josue dropped me off at Sarai´s house for me to hang out with her while they went and got school materials for the girls. It was a lot of fun to hang out with Sarai. I´m not going to write too much about her because I think I´m going to feature her in my first newsletter, but it was really great to sit and talk with her about myself and my passions in life, and our spiritual lives. I can tell, and so can she, that God is really going to bless this new friendship. I am thankful that he placed her here for me to be able to befriend.
