(2) Days of Piedras

Alright, so yesterday was my first day to try and make a schedule for myself. Since Josue and his wife work in from 8 to 12, and the girls started school - which I´ll talk about later in this post - I basically had the whole house to myself in the mornings. It´s going to be like this all week, so I decided I´d set a schedule.

Game Plan: Arise around 9:30 am. Computer time for an hour (done). Reading time for an hour (done). Shower time/prep time for 30 minutes(done & done). And then by 12 everyone will be home and I´ll have company and won´t be searching for things to do.

Actual Plan: Arise at 8 am. Computer time for an hour and a half (because the internet is awfully slow here). Shower/Prep time for an hour (yeah, I took 30 minutes in the shower... I really needed one after sweating so much!). Reading for 2 hours! (Let me also add that everyone who enjoys reading should read Francine River´s Mark of the Lion series.) and when it was 12, I thought, ¨yay! people should be home any second.¨ Um.... no. Nobody came home until 1:30.

It was interesting to see how quickly my own plans changed. I realized I was going to have more time than I thought, so I decided to just let things happen as they want to happen Once everyone was home, we didn´t have ´´lunch´´ until 3, and by the time we were all finished, it was about 4:30. So the eating schedul is really different than back home.

All this to say -- I am learning how things work here. It´s been really slow. Monday was slow... Tuesday (today) picked up a lot! But you´ll have to wait until tomorrow to read about that I guess.

PLUS --- it´s my birthday tomorrow! YAY!
