On Sunday, Daniel invited us to go out to the movies with him for his birthday. His 16th birthday!! We have bible study at 7:30, and so we opted to see a late movie afterwards. Karina and I got together Wednesday afternoon and made him a delicious chocolate cake with M&M's sprinkled on top. We had hoped to share it with everyone at the bible study, since he told us he'd be there - but he didn't show up, and we were left there awkwardly telling people we could not share the cake we brought to class. We ended up playing a trick on him afterwards (to get even, of course) and he totally fell for it. (Which was a huge accomplishment for Karina and I because Daniel is a big trickster himself!) Cheke (Daniel's cousin), Karina, and I joined Daniel to the late night showing of "Paranormal Activity" which was a pretty scary movie. We ate pieces of cake in the back of the trunk of my car, and came back home with paranoid emotions! It was such a great night, and I know Daniel had a great time hanging out with his friends.
