1. I actually prefer this smaller room. The girls hang out with me more and I feel less "alone" because there isn't a lot of empty space.
2. I am in the middle of writing a bible lesson for our women's bible class on Friday. Prayers would be much appreciated! I'm writing over the Aroma of Christ, and trying to write enough for a 45 minute talk! I'm not even close to finishing it (in English), so pray I can work on that all this week with wisdom from the Lord. Friday's at 5 pm = Women's Bible Study
3. I took a day trip with a lady of the church to deliver some communion trays to the small congregation down in San Juan de Sabinas on Monday. Monday was Mexico's version of "Labor Day" so everyone had the day off to enjoy. It was actually quite warm down there and made me so ready for warm weather. (Today is wet and rainy. BOOO.) It was also really neat to meet more brothers and sisters of the church. This small congregation of 10 didn't have much of anything, and they are still in need. They have about 8 hard, wood pews that need some cushioning. I don't know how to sew, but I'm interested in collecting some soft cushions to place in the pews. If any of you have it on your heart to help with that, please contact me via email or phone. (almanza.rachel@gmail.com or 972-965-6866)
That's really all that's been going on. It looks like February will be a nice slow month for me. I'm hoping and praying that I can use this free time to really focus on the goals I have set for myself here in Mexico. Prayers for that would be much appreciated!
Missing you....
Be Strong in the Lord,
Rachel
