More than a feeling

For every action there is a reaction. And I guess after every American group comes down to Mexico, I'll feel like this. I'm not one who gets homesick, so don't get confused, but oh how I long to see all of my family and friends. I absolutely love when I get the chance to talk about or describe my friends and family to my "family" here. It's as if a piece of the person I'm talking about is here with me. And it's to the point that "Yo extraño ellos." doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of how much I long to see you all. My old roommate and I joke about the "freak out" moments that we learned about in training, and at least I haven't had that yet. I really do have a fantastic family here. Not just my host family but also the family of God here in Piedras.

I hope you aren't reading this and thinking, "Rachel is depressed!" or "Poor Rachel!" because I assume that it is only right to feel this way about all of you since I have you in my heart. Know that I'm praying everytime one of your faces comes to my mind.

Missing you deeply!

On a bright note, we're having a girls weekend! Tonight after the jovenes meet, we're going to see a scary movie, and tomorrow after church we'll be having lunch in Eagle Pass (Eegley Paz, as they pronounce it) and shopping afterwards! I'm excited!

Be strong in the Lord,
Rachel
