Short and sweet

Ok seriously, where did September go?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is my first "real" day off. Praise the Lord because I'm starting to get really run down.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Learned the difference between "yo tambien" and "yo tampoco" yesterday. (Me too vs. Me neither.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My family is coming to visit this weekend! It's my mom's bday weekend so we're gonna have a party in her honor! ¡Fiesta style!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Suprisingly, I'm a little tired of Mexican food. I could go for Chili's or TGIFriday's right about now... Scratch that-- Olive Garden.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Every Sunday night after evening church, a group of us go down to another church in town and duel them in volleyball. It's such a great time. And I'm really enjoying getting to know the members of that church as well.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two words: New Starbucks! They're building a new mall downtown and it's right behind our church's neighborhood. The last time I snuck a peak inside, I noticed a big green circle resembling Starbucks' logo. I just can't wait!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm getting a nice tan from being outside so much. It's looking pretty nice! Except I do have an awkward tan line from my shorts last week.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Teaching English is harder than I thought! Any suggestions?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was in charge of the children's class last Sunday morning and it was a disaster! I forgot almost everything! Thanks to Sarai for helping me get it all together! I'm sticking to the Jovenes for a while.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I should be posting a video soon of the kids singing during church. We could have 25 people or less in service and still sound just as loud as a good sized singing choir! Also side note: I dislike LIGHT THE FIRE in English, but love the Spanish version!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Be strong in the Lord,
Rachel
  1. And I am dying for some Mexican food over here in Ghana! Want to trade diets for a bit?
