4 things you should know...

I recognize I have not update this very much. Here goes one of those "junk drawer" lists:

Took a 3 day trip to Monterrey, Mexico with some relatives. It was a nice "get-away" trip and really helped clear my head of all the "negative" thoughts I'd been having about leaving Mexico. I came back from the trip really refreshed and excited about continuing my work here. It was just what I needed.

I came back from the Monterrey trip to find our living room re-arranged. We now have a GIGANTIC projector movie screen! I'm talking like almost equivalent to your dollar theater screen size! It's pretty much awesome! And we've taken full advantage of it in the one week we've owned it.

I'm pretty excited about these next two weeks. This week one of the church's is hosting an annual youth/young adult conference. They're really going all out for it (bouncy house type games, carnival rides, great speakers, bible quiz) and so I'm excited for it to be here. Then the following week there is another annual Christmas youth/young adult conference in Monclova. I know a lot of the young people down there from a previous visit with Karina, and so I'm excited to get to see them and hang out with them.

We celebrated the 1st anniversary of the church in Col. San Juaquin on Saturday night. They are the church next door to the Holguin headquarters. It was awesome to be able to see the growth of the church. I was thinking later that night about awesome it is that I am getting a little piece of each church in my mission trip down here. I know some of you will get the chance to come visit Piedras Negras, and I really hope I can share with you a little bit of each church family that meets here. They are all different, but all great brothers and sisters in Christ.
